Status:
Pioneer Trail Campground is open for reservations. There are variable conditions with snow and standing water in the campsites but parking is all clear. Tables, grills and firepits are clear of snow.
Closing Date for the 2023 Summer Season is planned for October 22nd, 2023. Last Night of stay is October 21st, 2023. Camp will be closed for maintenance from 10/23-10/30.Â
Summer Camping
Pioneer Trail is a group campground with 3 large sites capable of accommodating 50 – 100 people each, perfect for youth groups, family reunions, scouting groups, social groups etc. Parking areas are paved. Each site has multiple picnic tables and large fire rings for serious outdoor cooking. It is a short walk down the hill to Pinecrest Lake and associated amenities. Reservations are required for this campground by calling (877) 444-6777 or online at Recreation.gov.
Winter Camping – No services, pack it in , pack it out) starts November 1st, 2023.

THE PINECREST DUMP STATION IS CURRENTLY OPEN.
There is an RV dump station located on highway 108, just 1/4 mile west of Pinecrest Lake Road.
Pioneer Trail is also open for first-come-first-serve Winter Camping from Mid-October through Mid-April. Winter camping is free for groups of 15 or less. Please send an email to info@dodgeridge.com to inform our staff of your planned arrival date. Water is not available during the winter camping months. One vault toilet is available in winter.
For groups of 16 or more, the fee is $1 per person, per night (ie. a group of 16 people would pay $16/night and then $1/person/night for each additional person). Payments can be made in the administration office just up Dodge Ridge Road from the campground at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.
